Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of New Life Indian Church based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
There is one eternally existing God who has three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the creator of all that exists, both visible and invisible, and is therefore worthy of all glory and praise. God is perfect in love, power, holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom, justice, and mercy. He is unchangeable and therefore is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

We believe in one God:
There is one God: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; who exist in unity, and also exist as three separate distinct Persons (John 14:7–16; Genesis 1:1; 1:26–27; 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Isaiah 40:28–29; Matthew 28:19).
We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s Son:
Jesus Christ is God’s Son. He was born of a virgin as both God and man, lived a sinless life, died to atone for the sins of human beings, he was buried, arose from the grave, ascended into heaven, and will physically return to earth (Matthew 1:22–23; Isaiah 9:6; 53:5–6; John 1:1–5; 14:10–30; Hebrews 4:14–15; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Romans 1:3–4; Acts 1:9–11; 1 Timothy 6:14–15; Titus 2:13).
We believe in the Holy Spirit:
The Holy Spirit is the comforter, helper, counselor and His work is to reveal Jesus Christ, and to convict the world of sin, and to lead sinners to repentance, to guide believers and sanctify the soul (2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7–13; 14:16–17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12; 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; 5:18; Galatians 5:25).
We believe in Scriptures:
Scriptures are God’s Holy Word, it is without error, and is the sole authority for life. Scriptures are good for correction and for reproof. (Psalm 119:105; Romans 15:4; 2 Peter 1:20–21; 2 Timothy 3:16).
We believe Human beings are His creation:
Human beings are the special creation of God, made in His image. When Adam sinned the fall has occurred through the sin of the first man, Adam, and all human beings are sinners in need of salvation (Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3–6; Isaiah 53:6; 59:1–2; Romans 3:23).
We believe in Salvation:
Salvation is a gift through repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ. When a person is truly saved he is eternally secure in the Lord Jesus Christ and will spend the rest of eternity in heaven, while those who die in their sins will spend eternity in hell (Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8–9; John 14:6; 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1).
We believe in believer’s Baptism:
Baptism is by immersion in water after a person is saved and is done in obedience to Jesus Christ’s command (Matthew 3:15–17; Acts 2:38).
We believe that a Believer has access to God:
Every believer has a direct access to God through the Lord Jesus Christ (Hebrews 4:14–16; 7:19; Ephesians 3:12).
We believe in Church:
The Church is a local body of baptized believers with the Lord Jesus Christ as the Head (Matthew 16:18; Acts 20:27–29; 1 Corinthians 12:27–29; Ephesians 1:21–23; 3:20–21; 4:1–3; 5:21–27; Colossians 1:17–19).
We believe in Evangelism and Missions:
The Lord Jesus Christ has commanded the preaching of the gospel to all nations. It is the duty of every child of God to seek constantly to win the lost and to endeavor to make disciples of all nations (John 14:11-12; 15:7-8,16; 17:15; 20:21; Acts 1:8; 2; 8:26-40; 10:42-48; 13:2-3; Romans 10:13-15; Ephesians 3:1-11; 1 Thessalonians 1:8; 2 Timothy 4:5; Hebrews 2:1-3; 11:39-12:2; 1 Peter 2:4-10; Revelation 22:17.)
We believe in the Institution of Family:
God has ordained family as the foundational institution of human society. Marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime (Ephesians 5:21-33; 6:1-4; Colossians 3:18-21; 1 Timothy 5:8,14; 2 Timothy 1:3-5; Titus 2:3-5; Hebrews 13:4; 1 Peter 3:1-7).
